What is ANUMME?

You may have already heard about it around you or on social networks. ANUMME or the National Association of Electric Micro-Mobility Users is an association that aims to defend your interests. This association was created by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. And that's what we like.

For this association, as for many other people, the use of electric vehicles in the city is a solution for the future. We all know that the air in our cities is too polluted, the roads are congested and transport is crowded. It is therefore preferable to use a scooter, a unicycle or even an electric skateboard to get around.

In this association where everyone and all opinions are welcome, there are representatives who are passionate about these machines and determined to make things happen. Since the creation of the association, several action plans have been put in place to meet the objectives set. But what are they?

The objectives of ANUMME:

The association has several goals, short, medium and long term, all with the aim of improving the experience and security of EDPM users. So what are its goals?
- Defend the interests of EDPM users: whether you ride a scooter, wheel or electric skateboard, ANUMME ensures communication with the media, politicians or even various sellers. The association also fights against the inconsistencies of the regulations in force.

- Organization of events: In partnership with various associations and local authorities, ANUMME organizes events to promote and defend the use of micro-mobility.

- Defend the creation of a category of fast EDPMs: Thanks to discussions between the different market players and politicians, the association hopes to see the creation of a new category in the regulations (EDPM at 45 km/h).

- Improve the circulation of electric vehicles: By calling on users to be responsible, the association helps to improve circulation for all.

Actions implemented:

To achieve the various objectives, the association implements several actions. This of course involves communication with users but also with professionals in the sector. This involves concrete and in-depth actions such as exchanges and requests to the ministry.

So here is the action plan:

- Broad communication to reach as many people as possible

- Create a link between users and politicians (mayors, deputies and senators)

- Show a different vision of EDPM than that which can be seen in the “classic” media

- Help users better understand and clarify current laws

- Organize events to promote the use of electric vehiclesSupport the creation of the fast EDPM category with the European Commission

- Request to include EDPMs in regional purchasing assistance subsidies and the mobility package

The ANUMME association also does a lot of prevention. This is essential in order to improve the use of different electrical devices but also to improve the bad image they can have. This prevention is therefore necessary.

First of all, ANUMME does a lot of prevention on social networks, in order to reach as many people as possible. But for a few months now, the association has also put together a booklet of “10 rules of good conduct” which is available on their website for download but also in various specialized stores. They actually came to see us at E-Ride in order to introduce us to the association and their actions.

The booklet thus covers several essential rules to respect when riding a scooter, wheel or skateboard. This involves respecting the laws but also and above all pedestrians and other users. Several tips also concern the essential safety equipment when practicing: safety above all.

How to support this association?

Discovering this association may have made you want to support it. In any case, we hope so. If so, you can go to their website and become a member or simply make a donation of your choice. By doing this you provide financial support to the association but also but also weight because ANUMME needs people to make themselves heard and gain importance.

Joining means helping to promote EDPMs in cities, improving traffic flow and therefore driving pleasure.

Regarding the membership money, it will mainly be used for several communication actions such as printing business cards, stickers for example or to cover travel expenses to meet elected officials or market representatives.

But what do we gain from it?

Well, by joining the association, you will have access to discounts for insurance or safety equipment. So it can quickly become profitable. In any case, the association does not force you to intervene or participate in meetings if you do not wish to.

Supporting them is above all to help defend EDPMs. Help improve the conditions of circulation and use of micro-mobility vehicles. You also contribute by giving weight to the project because the more members there are, the more credibility the association gains.

As you will have understood, we can only advise you to become a member of the association. This does not commit you to anything and in addition, you are helping concretely to develop and improve the use of EDPMs. Helping this association means making cities more breathable.

Don't hesitate any longer and become a member of the association, it only costs a few euros.
